Shortly afterwards, he was in the third round at the 2017 German Darts Championship, where he lost to Ian White. In 2018, he was no longer able to repeat the successes of the previous year. At the 2018 UK Open he already failed at the First round. In total, he qualified for four more PDC European Tour events, including the 2018 Dutch Darts Championship, where he reached Third round after successes over Kevin Münch and Gerwyn Price, then he lost to Simon Whitlock. At the end of the year, he lost his PDC Tour Card.

As a result, for the first time he was mainly found on the PDC Challenge Tour, and he also appeared on the World Darts Federation circuit for the first time, reaching final stage at the Isle Of Man Classic.
